All About Me

My singing career started purely by chance. A friend of the family was producing a show, The Merry Widow. The producer caught me off guard and asked me to make up the numbers in the chorus. That was it, I was bitten by the entertainment bug. I went straight from the close of that production to be a suitor in a production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
I was very lucky that some excellent shows were being produced, all with leading male roles that were just right for me.
The first lead role was Frederic in a production of Pirates Of Penzance.
Next came Tony in West Side Story, the classic musical of Romeo & Juliet.
Luntha in The King and I, Lt Cable in South Pacific were then followed by Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar.
The silver wedding of Sue Fleeshman star of stage & TV (Brookside, Coronation Street)and David Fleeshman (actor/director) gave me a chance to show off a little. Just after they had renewed their vows I sang Some Enchanted Evening and Love Changes Everything. It was like an audience with.... . All the stars from Brookside, Coronation Street, Emmerdale were there. This lead to a major part in Night of The Stars in Manchester. Sue wanted me to lead the star cast in the finale of Act 1 from Les Miserables. I was quite overwhelemed. The show was performed at The Palace Theatre in Manchester. It was such as success that a repeat show was booked and Sue asked me to help again.
I even had the chance to be support act for Richard Fleeshman when he performed locally. Richard is currently enjoying great success in the Ghost The Musical.
December 2010 saw a return to theatre as playing a rough, if slightly dim pirate in Peter Pan the musical at The Lowry, Salford, alongside Brian Capron (Coronation Street), John Henshaw (Born and Bred) and Tom Law (Eastenders)
